The San Juan College Student Health Center is a health clinic that allows students to receive treatment for non-emergency and minor illnesses without charge. Seeing the clinic, and many diagnostics are free of charge. The services provided include minor acute care (cutes, scrapes, score throat, UTI), preventative care (STD testing, physical exams, referral for cancer screening, contraceptives), wellness care (health risk assessment, lifestyle management education), and disease management for stable conditions (in many instances, medication management should be done by your primary care physician).

The health of our teeth is an incredibly important part of our physical health, as they allow us to consume food and speak. However, in many cases, the prohibitive cost of dental work prevents people from maintaining the health of this important part of our body. To help remedy this and to provide hands on training for the students in our dental hygiene program (note that students will be observed by fully licensed dentists and dental hygienists), the San Juan College hosts a Dental Clinic. This dental clinic performs routine dental work such as dental X-rays, teeth cleaning, non-surgical therapy, and other procedures important for maintaining the health of teeth. Because they are performed by students, the procedures are much cheaper than in a dentist's office, but also may take longer.
Note: This services is open to all members of the community.

Accessing physical books at the San Juan College Library
All SJC students automatically have a library account. When you look up a physical book in our library, click the "View Library Map" link by the call number. This will show you were the book is located in our stacks.
Accessing ebooks at the San Juan College Library
If you're on campus, make sure you're on the "SJC Student" wifi network. "SJC Guest" does not allow access to e-resources. (We're working on a solution!) All SJC Student network users have seamless access to our ebooks and databases.
If you're off campus, click on the link to access the ebook. You'll be taken to a login page. Make sure to read the instructions carefully!
Your username is your full SJC email address.
Your password is the same password you use to access mySJC - but make sure it's not the default password, and if you haven't changed your password in two months, the library system will count it as "expired."
Once you log into our e-resources, you'll have a cookie that records your authorized access. You won't have to log in every time!
If you have any login issues with library resources even after following all the directions, you can contact SJC IT at (505) 566-3266. Let them know you're having library access issues and they'll issue a ticket. If the library's open, you can also ask the librarians via Chat, phone, or e-mail from our Library Homepage.
