The language of Diné bizaad or Navajo is the primary, indigenous, language spoken in the Navajo Nation (and all non-contiguous Navajo enclaves). The language is a a Southern Athabaskan language (western group). According to the Endangered Languages Project, there are 120,000 speakers of Navajo, classifying the language as "at risk."
