The Census Bureau collects data for the American Indian/Alaska Natives population and publishes specific counts, estimates, and statistics. The website provides series of tools and publications to facilitate the study of Native American populations.

American Indians in Children's Literature (AICL) is a blog run by Dr. Debbie Reese of Nambé Pueblo, which provides critical analysis of Indigenous peoples in children's and young adult books. These works are published on websites in order to allow the materials to be accessible to the greatest number of people.

The Tribal Law and Order Act of 2010 (TLOA; P.L. 111-211, 124 Stat. 2258, Section 251(b)) requires the Bureau of Justice Statistics to establish and implement a tribal data collection system and to support tribal participation in national records and information systems. This page serves as a data repository, ensuring these Indian country justice statistics are easily located and accessible from a central source.

The Chaco Research Archive is an online resource created by the University of Virginia, which provides access to a wealth of information documenting the history of archaeological research in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. The archive includes material from dozens of sites excavated in the Chaco Culture National Historical Park and beyond.

The National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) has one of the most extensive collections of Native American arts and artifacts in the world—approximately 266,000 catalog records (825,000 items) representing over 12,000 years of history and more than 1,200 indigenous cultures throughout the Americas. Ranging from ancient Paleo-Indian points to contemporary fine arts, the collections include works of aesthetic, religious, and historical significance as well as articles produced for everyday use. Current holdings include all major culture areas of the Western Hemisphere, representing virtually all tribes in the United States, most of those of Canada, and a significant number of cultures from Middle and South America and the Caribbean. The NMAI collections also include their extensive archival collections which include records of contemporary Native and Indigenous artists, writers, activists, and organizations.

The Billie Jane Baguley Library and Archives has an extensive collection of documentary and photographic works on American Indians with an emphasis on indigenous people in the Greater Southwest. The Digital Library represents a virtual selection from the archives, library and art collections including photographs, brochures, correspondence, drawings, and art objects. Significant collections include the Phoenix Indian School Historic Photographs, Trustrim Connell Collection, and their Masterworks Series.

The Digital Public Library of America is database that includes materials held in libraries, archives, and museums across the U.S. It is a single search that allows you to search millions of items held in hundreds of repositories. In addition to the search bar, the DPLA has a series of primary source sets, which includes a series of documents and artifacts on a single topic.

The Edward S. Curtis Collection offers a unique glimpse into Curtis's work with indigenous cultures. The more than 2,400 silver-gelatin photographic prints were acquired by the Library of Congress through copyright deposit from about 1900 through 1930. About two-thirds (1,608) of these images were not published in Curtis's multi-volume work, The North American Indian. The collection includes a large number of individual or group portraits, as well as traditional and ceremonial dress, dwellings and other structures, agriculture, arts and crafts, rites and ceremonies, dances, games, food preparation, transportation, and scenery. More than 1,000 of the photographs have been digitized and individually described.

In carrying out EPA’s responsibilities on Indian reservations, the fundamental objective of the Agency is to protect human health and the environment. The keynote of this effort will be to give special consideration to Tribal interests in making Agency policy, and to insure the close involvement of Tribal Governments in making decisions and managing environmental programs affecting reservation lands.

This publication from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, republished in the Federal Register (the Daily Journal of the Federal Government) on 01/29/2021, includes a list of all 574 Federally Recognized Indigenous tribes which are eligible to receive Federal Funds.

This website, published by the National Agricultural Law Center of the University of Arkansas, focuses on issues related to Native American agriculture, environmental protections, and foodways. It includes links to all laws that are relevant to American Indian agriculture. It also includes resources from various government resources and other academic resources.

Launched in September 2012, the free Indigenous Governance Database (IGD) features online educational and informational resources on tribal self-governance and tribal policy reform. This includes information such as recorded seminars, information on contemporary tribal leadership, and research on the state of Native Nations. The IGD includes the Constitutions Resource Center (CRC) that brings together research on Indigenous constitutions.

Indigikitchen is an online cooking show dedicated to re-indigenizing our diets using digital media. Using foods native to their Americas, Indigikitchen gives viewers the important tools they need to find and prepare food in their own communities. Beyond that, it strengthens the ties to our cultures and reminds us of the inherent worth of our identities while fueling our physical bodies. Indigenous food systems support healthier ecosystems, bodies, and families. The website also serves as a database of recopies using indigenous ingredients.

Know the Land is a toolkit written by the Laurier Students' Public Interest Research Group, which assists people in writing land acknowledgment statements, describing the research that should be done, the factors that one should consider when writing a land acknowledgment, and describes why land acknowledgments are so important.

Koahnic Broadcast Corporation is a a nonprofit media center that provides Native radio programming through Alaska Native governance and operation. This includes news programs like Native American Calling, Native Voice One, and National Native News as well as Native American music programs such as Indigefi and Rivr.

The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, one of four museums in the Museum of New Mexico system, is a premier repository of Native art and material culture and tells the stories of the people of the Southwest from pre-history through contemporary art. The museum serves a diverse, multicultural audience through changing exhibitions, public lectures, field trips, artist residencies, and other educational programs.

The National Indian Law Library is a database hosted by the National Indian Rights Fund, focusing on issues of Indian Law. This includes information federal Indian policy including original court documents, laws ,and summaries of legal decisions. The database includes information about tribal codes, Constitutions, and court decisions.

The Heard Museum's Native American Artists Resource Collection (NAARC) is the largest database of Native American artists in the world. The database includes information such as tribal affiliation, gender, lifespan, medium, and exhibitions. The database also connects to the physical NAARC vertical files at the Heard Museum, which includes physical ephemera created by the artists such as business cards or newspaper clippings.

The National Indian Boarding School Digital Archive Collections is a collaboration between the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition and University of Minnesota. The archive serves as a national digital platform and digital repository for boarding school archival collections throughout the United States. The database aggregates and centralizes collections that are located in various repositories across the country.

The Native American Graves Repatriation and Protection Act (NAGPRA) is a landmark act enacted in 1990, which is designed to protect Native American grave sites and facilitate the return of Native American skeletal remains (among other objects) back to tribes. This website, hosted by the National Parks Service, describes what NAGPRA is, outlines the enforcement of the act, and describes who/what is under NAGPRA's jurisdiction.

Disabled people can face a myriad of legal issues related to accommodations and tribal law. The Native American Disability Law Center was established to provide legal support for Native Americans who are struggling with issues related to their disabilities or treatment. The organization also provides information to Native Americans about their rights.

Native Knowledge 360° (NK360°) provides educators and students with new perspectives on Native American history and cultures. Most Americans have only been exposed to part of the story, as told from a single perspective through the lenses of popular media and textbooks. NK360° provides educational materials, virtual student programs, and teacher training that incorporate Native narratives, more comprehensive histories, and accurate information to enlighten and inform teaching and learning about Native America. NK360° challenges common assumptions about Native peoples and offers a view that includes not only the past but also the vibrancy of Native peoples and cultures today.

Native Vote is an initiative by the National Congress of American Indians, which focuses on registering Native Americans to vote. The organization emphasizes the importance of voting in both national and tribal election. The website includes resources to assist native peoples in registering to vote.

The Navajo Nation Bar Association is a professional association of lawyers on the Navajo Nation. The website includes information about Navajo Nation laws/statutes, information on Navajo Fundamental laws, attorney listings, and information about forms and a listing of attorneys on the Navajo nation.

New Mexico Digital Collections is an initiative of the University of New Mexico Libraries to bring together archival collections across the state. The collection provides access to digitized photographs, manuscripts, posters, oral histories, videos, maps, and books. Major topics discussed include New Mexico history, land and water rights, Route 66, music, and politics.

The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is a committee of the U.S. Senate. The Committee has jurisdiction to study the unique problems of American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native peoples and to propose legislation to alleviate these difficulties. These issues include, but are not limited to, Indian education, economic development, land management, trust responsibilities, health care, and claims against the United States. Additionally, all legislation proposed by Members of the Senate that specifically pertains to American Indians, Native Hawaiians, or Alaska Natives is under the jurisdiction of the Committee. Trigger Points is a document published by the Native American Rights Fund, summarizing recent research done on the Native American Boarding Schools. The document serves as a useful introduction to the boarding school system, including its origins (and intellectual underpinning), the conditions, and the impacts.
